Payment & Cancellation Policy

At Satoyama Stays, we believe in transparent and straightforward booking terms. This policy outlines our payment schedule, cancellation terms, and reservation conditions to help you book with confidence.
By confirming a reservation, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to this Payment & Cancellation Policy.
1. Payment Schedule
To confirm your reservation, a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking.
The remaining 50% balance will be automatically charged 30 days before your scheduled arrival using the original payment method.
Reservations made within 30 days of arrival require full payment at the time of booking.
Unless otherwise stated, all prices are quoted in Japanese Yen (JPY).
2. Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel your reservation, the following refund terms apply based on the date your cancellation request is received as shown in the table below:

| 60 days or more | 100% refund of all payments received |
| 30–59 days | 50% refund of all payments received |
| Less than 30 days | No refund |
Refunds will be processed to the original payment method used when making the reservation.
3. Reservation Changes
If you wish to amend your reservation dates, please contact us as soon as possible.
We will do our best to accommodate changes, subject to availability. Reservation amendments may be subject to seasonal rate differences, minimum stay requirements, or additional charges.
4. Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances, including illness, severe weather, transportation disruptions, or other events that may affect your travel plans.
Travel insurance can help cover costs associated with cancellations, delays, and other unexpected changes that fall outside our cancellation policy.
5. Exceptional Circumstances
If cancelled dates are successfully rebooked, Satoyama Stays may, at its sole discretion, offer a partial or full refund equivalent to the amount recovered.
Any such refund is considered on a case-by-case basis and cannot be guaranteed.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Payment & Cancellation Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our booking procedures or business practices.
